Concept Construction Corporation was founded in 1974 by B. Michael Shevlin. Through the foresight of his father (Barney J. Shevlin), and upon completion of his military service, Michael was advised to consider starting his own construction company of the future. Concept Construction Corporation was born. From the early days of remodeling basements to present time, this family owned, four generation company has steadily grown and currently averages over $40 million per year in completed construction activity. Anchored in a rich history of family success in the construction industry, the foundations of this new company were first laid in solid business principles and proven core values. Concept Construction was built on a philosophy of superior workmanship, professionalism and outstanding integrity. Attention to detail and safety, while exceeding customer expectations are some of the qualities that have earned Concept a reputation for being a self-performing, industry leading commercial contractor.
With extensive experience in building systems of every size, shape and design, Concept Construction has proudly become one of our region's premier contractors of choice.
A self-performing contractor with in-house resources to complete most challenging projects, Concept's customers call on them to deliver the most complex of projects as well as the weekend renovation. Concept's track record for on-time completion is second to none. With an experienced team of veterans, each has the ability to manage change and get the job done right the first time. Known for their “hands-on” approach, the entire team at Concept Construction cares and is equally proud of their reputations, which is a key component to the large volume of consistent repeat business the company enjoys.
The ability to think outside the box, plan, schedule, coordinate and develop unique phasing programs has proven Concept Construction Corporation to be a leader in the industry. “We excell at working with administrators, general managers, owners and educators alike, to assure minimal disruption to everyday business activities,” say company founder and CEO Michael Shevlin. “This is evidenced throughout our entire business portfolio, but no more apparent than in our hospital and healthcare work,” adds Shevlin. Working around sensitive medical equipment, intensive care units, operating rooms and critical care wings, and our most cherished - "children," as reflected in our many school projects all require special attention. The company is proud to have developed unique construction methods and coordination techniques to successfully address these special conditions.
We are passionate about our projects. It is a basic requirement of Concept Construction to always, every day, deliver the highest quality product possible. Company President Matthew Shevlin proudly states, “This is what we do and we do it safely, through hard work, dedication, experience, creativity and a commitment to providing you with the finest in workmanship and service available on every project.”
